Let’s talk about this role
As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will work as part of a team responsible for overseeing the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of the nib group’s fortnightly and monthly payrolls. You will provide mentoring and support to the team and will be responsible for the more complex payroll calculations and transactions. You will also assist in the provision of an advisory and consultancy service to nib management and employees on payroll related matters.
Let’s talk about you
Your previous experience running payroll processing coupled with your understanding of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and employment tax law will ensure your success in this role.
You will possess demonstrated experience in interpreting awards, company policy, individual contracts and enterprise agreements in addition to strong knowledge of statutory requirements and regulations such as superannuation, leave and payroll tax.

Furthermore we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a medium to large organisation
  • Methodical with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Meeting taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations, including Compliance and Audit requirements
  • Experience using Chris 21 and/or Workday is desirable
