Description:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 10+ years advanced computer programming skills in Java/J2EE, Web Services/Design/Development and APIs
- 2+ years advanced computer programming skills in JSF 2.x/PrimeFaces, JSP
- 4+ years advanced computer programming skills in JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX/Angular JS
- Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML.
- Working experience in creating and maintain applications written Oracle PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, HTML, JavaScript and .Net.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, both individual and team related tasks.
- Maintains attention to detail in high-pressure situations, and the ability to exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems.
- Strong knowledge of the following skillsets:
o Java
o PL SQL
o HTML/JavaScript/CSS
o Basic LINUX usage (navigating, reading files, sudo commands)
- Software knowledge
o Rational Application Developer
o SQL Developer / SQL Plus
o PuTTY / WinSCP
o WebSphere
o Subversion
o Developer should be familiar with control-M jobs / POB system, as well as the basics of how the AFT system works. We use AFT to package and export data downstream to MIRS and CDAS.
o Microservices design
o - GCP or AWS Cloud Development
- Skills in: DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications:
o Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
o Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
o Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
o Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
o Kubernetes
o Security
o Performance tuning
- Able to perform all functional duties independently
- Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel
- Moderate knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Web-based software systems
- Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML
- Moderate experience collaborating with end users to define new Web-based software system requirements
- Experience authoring or contributing to software-related documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals, and user manuals
- Excellent communication skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must either be US Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Candidates must have resided in the United States for the past 5 years
- Candidates must not have traveled outside of the United States for a combined total of 6 months or greater in the past 5 years
- This position requires successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and a credit check.
Education: A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred

Responsibilities:
- Provides support to develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online.
- Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website.
- Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications.
- Use tools including Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and SQL Server, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML, DBMS’s (ex. - Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Experience in full life cycle development and Agile development methodology.
- Work with business customer(s) and infrastructure teams to translate requirements to applications.
