Position Description
The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Spring 2024 MGST 451 LEC 01 on Mondays/Wednesdays 09:00-11:45. Classes in the Spring 2024 semester run from May 6 to June 17, 2024. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place from June 19 to June 22, 2024, if applicable.
MGST 451 LEC 01 (Corporate Governance & Ethical Decision-Making)

The calendar description of the course:
“Develop an increased awareness of the importance of corporate governance systems and strong financial decision making systems in developing effective business enterprises. Specific emphasis on the resolution of agency problems, the role of the board of directors, compensation systems and financial modelling.”

QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA degree or equivalent and work experience in the field are desirable
• Previous post-secondary teaching experience is a requirement
• Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing instruction face-to-face and online in a post-secondary setting
• Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset
