Let’s talk about you
Are you ready to be a pivotal force in our company’s transformation? We are seeking a dynamic Software Architect to drive innovation and spearhead the design of cutting-edge technology systems. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with our software engineering and product/project teams, envisioning the “big picture” and crafting strategies for software design and implementation.
Your primary responsibility will be to architect innovative technology solutions, leveraging your wealth of experience to make critical decisions that shape our software ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to architect an entire company-wide systems ecosystem, from ordering and provisioning to billing and operations, starting from scratch. You will immerse yourself in the latest technologies and design patterns, including event sourcing/choreography, microservices/k8s, and schema-driven design.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in system design, integration, and software development.
  • Proven experience in implementing solutions leveraging TM Forum Open Digital Architecture.
  • Expert knowledge in Service Oriented design, API design and ongoing API lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of network technologies used to deliver data, voice, and unified communications services.

How will you support our “Why?”

As our Software Architect, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes:

  • Designing a number of systems across a variety of channels (e.g. internal tools and applications, customer-facing websites, and core business systems), utilising industry best practices and leveraging the latest technologies where possible.
  • Working closely with the Solution Architects who have designed the solution to the business problem, by designing the software systems and technologies to deliver the overall solution.
  • Conducting options analysis to choose the right technology stack.
  • Ensuring technical excellence of software components and integration between them to deliver complete solutions.
  • Defining the software structure and ensuring that the software will meet the technical requirements and constraints.
  • Identifying automation improvement opportunities.
  • Addressing critical technical challenges.
  • Solving interesting performance and architectural challenges.
  • Identifying reusable tools or code to simplify our systems landscape and reduce complexity
  • Providing technical leadership and direction to the team.
  • Contributing to designing appropriate coding practices, software design patterns, and the overall technical blueprint that guides the development team.
  • Determining technical standards (including coding standards, tools, and platforms).
  • Communicating and coordinating with various internal departments including technical and non-technical, and stakeholders including Executives to Developers.
  • Working closely with stakeholders, across all stages of the software development life cycle.
