Description:

We are seeking a student (graduate or undergraduate) interested in joining a research team in the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences to work on updating STEM-CyLE (https://stem-cyle.cis.fiu.edu/). The project is funded by the National Science Foundation. Dr. Peter Clarke is leading the project.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing web apps with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Python
  • Experience developing mobile applications
  • Knowledge of different architectures, including microservices.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including requirements specification, software design, development, and testing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small research team
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities:

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Working in a software engineering team to design, develop, and test a web-based app using various technologies. Each phase of the software process will include documenting the artifacts that are being developed.
