Description:
EDUCATION:
- You are currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution, pursuing a bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, law clerk, or paralegal studies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You are available for a 8-month term beginning on or around May of 2024.
- You have beneficial experience in lease administration, property accounting, or property management, which is a plus.
- Your skills in general administration and accounting contribute to your qualifications.
- You have experience with property management software such as Lease Harbor, SAP, or similar, is an asset.
- You have highly developed verbal and written communication skills to enable you to thrive in a challenging and exciting work environment.
- You are a creative and analytical thinker with some project management skills who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- You have tenacity and an entrepreneurial spirit, and are passionate about seeking out win-win solutions.
- You have strong MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- You will be part of a global team and must be able to work effectively through a high degree of collaboration and communication through in-person meetings and video conferences.
- Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g., databases, geospatial, and/or business intelligence software) is advantageous.
- Experience in downstream fuel pricing or the Canadian retail fuel sector is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated desire to improve Parkland’s pricing execution capability by actively participating in the development of reusable processes and tools, aiming to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and analytics.

Responsibilities:
- Review lease agreements identifying key focuses including lease provisions, clauses, options, critical dates, and property details.
- Contribute to achieving department objectives by focusing on administrative tasks like accurate data entry, validation, and managing lease documents in the Lease Harbor database. This includes preparing lease summaries.
- Interpret lease documents and provide guidance to various stakeholders to ensure company compliance, handling landlord/tenant issues professionally.
- Manage incoming communications and mail, determining priority and relevance for appropriate action.
- Generate accurate ad-hoc reports for various internal departments on lease expenses, income, month-end accruals, and other property-related data.
- Collaborate with different departments like construction/maintenance, operations, legal, and finance.
- Provide support in implementing systems and programs and develop process documents to enhance efficiency and customer service.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
