POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible of ship design and building process for machinery discipline
Coordinator of inputs to the project from in-house sources site offices architects and other consultants
Cooperation with Yard counterparts contractors and suppliers
Proactive involvement in new technologies and technical systems development

KEY SKILLS:

Proficiency in Excel MS Word PowerPoint

  • MS Project or equivalent
  • Review of drawings and other technical documentation
  • Analize and develop specifications
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding processesIn dept knowledge of Classification Rules IACS Resolutions
  • SOLAS and marine standards
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Communication and co-operation in multicultural working environmentFluency in English
  • other languages as advantage

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering and/or Naval Architecture
  • 10-years experience in shipbuilding
  • Engine Officer on board of Passenger Vessels

  • Building standards validation
  • Participation to daily machinery inspections
  • Participation to FATs and other similar external production inspections related to machinery
  • Periodic report of building progress and surveys onboard
  • Validation of feasibility studies for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
  • Risk management process to identify risks at early stage of the project
  • Quality Assurance during building phase for compliance with applicable standards and drawings
  • Lessons learned process implementationCollaboration with Yard counterparts
