EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering, Mine Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2-5 years experience surveying within mining or similar heavy industrial environments.
- Transport Canada RPAS Advanced (Drone) license is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with computer software and applications relevant to surveying, such as AutoCAD, GIS programs, and mine planning tools like MineSight.
- Ability to manage both field and office-based survey tasks efficiently.
- Valid Driver’s License, with experience operating vehicles in mining or heavy industrial environments under various weather conditions.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Able to work 12-hour shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Proven safety and attendance record.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency using various software and applications.
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to build strong working relationships internally and with diverse groups.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
