Description:

Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Oldbury
Duration: Full time, on-going
Salary: £85 – £95 per day
The School/role:
We are currently looking for an experienced primary teaching assistant specialising in autism spectrum disorder who can take on a full-time on-going job role in a fantastic school in Oldbury that aims to provide a nurturing, safe and happy environment.

This will include supporting teachers with material preparation for lessons, assisting with displays and providing direct 1 on 1 or small group student support. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting students either 1 on 1 or within small groups with their reading, writing or maths dependant upon situation.
The candidate for this role will have a passion about working with autistic learners. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very rewarding for people who have Primary ASD needs experience.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant background
  • Level 3 assisting education and learning qualification or equivalent
  • Primary ASD needs experience
  • Immediately available
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Relevant school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service
