Description:

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, clinically experienced and motivated individuals for a permanent Band 7 Team Lead to join the Mental Health Homeless Team (MHHT). The Brighton & Hove Mental Health Homeless Team is based in East Brighton Community Mental Health Centre.
Our service is a well-regarded multidisciplinary team that delivers specialist support and clinical interventions to adults with severe and complex mental health difficulties who are rough sleeping or in insecure accommodation. This post provides a great and exciting opportunity for someone seeking to further advance their career and develop leadership and managerial experience.
MHHT is a small multi-disciplinary specialist Team providing assessment, treatment and support to homeless or insecurely housed people who have a severe and enduring mental illness and who may have additional substance misuse problems. You will conduct complex assessments and risk assessments in a variety of settings and manage a complex caseload as a lead practitioner providing a direct, assertive outreach service, working in partnership with other local homeless agencies from both the statutory and voluntary sector. You will require a basic understanding of housing legislation as it relates to Brighton and Hove and be familiar with recent changes in social legislation as it relates to this client group.
