The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Engineering Lab is seeking a Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician to support maintenance of the Flight Simulator Cabs and Flight Controls System Integration Lab in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
The Engineering Labs were established to develop, operate and maintain resources capable of supporting a wide range of engineering disciplines during the design, development, testing and production of rotorcraft. The Labs provide these engineering services for the V-22 Osprey Rotorcraft platforms. The V-22 Flight Controls SIL is designed to support the testing of the V-22 Flight Controls Hardware and Software.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Experienced Test and Evaluation Laboratory Technicians.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Associate Degree or higher
- Experience with multi-meters and/or oscilloscopes
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience designing circuit board level test equipment for engineering and lab use
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with circuitry, wiring and splicing
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, power, signal and avionics systems
- Experience with various electrical harness connector types
- Experience with proGECAD
- Experience with health and safety standards
EXPERIENCED (LEVEL 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Electrical/Electronics Technician support for maintenance of engineering labs
- Setting up electronics systems by following schematics and diagrams
- Conducting service checks and performing routine maintenance to keep electronics functioning properly
- Drafting signal and harness designs in proGECAD
- Ordering or producing parts needed to make repairs and complete maintenance
- Communicating with operators, engineers and inspectors to understand problems and provide progress updates
- Assist Electronics Engineers with the development of new equipment by making prototypes, performing tests and gathering data
