Description:

A primary school in Salford is currently seeking a TA to support Year 5 students in the classroom.
As a TA for Year 5 at our school, you will play a crucial role in helping our students succeed. You will work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, challenging, and tailored to the needs of our students. You will provide one-on-one assistance to students who need extra support, and help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons
  • Supporting individual students with one-on-one assistance, particularly those who need extra support
  • Collaborating with other TAs, teachers, and specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Preparing materials and resources for classes and individuals
  • Assisting with classroom management, including monitoring student behavior and providing positive reinforcement
  • Participating in team meetings, staff development, and parent-teacher conferences

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of one-year experience working as a TA in a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to support students
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A good understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods for Year 5
  • Patience and understanding of children’s needs
