Position Purpose: The Ice Cream Department Assistant (“Heladitas”) plays a key role in creating a delightful shopping experience by preparing, packaging, and merchandising a variety of frozen treats. This position ensures that customers always find fresh, high-quality ice cream products and related items, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities: An Ice Cream Department Assistant is a dependable, customer-focused team member who thrives in a fast-paced setting and delivers excellent service. Key responsibilities include: Drive sales with innovative ice cream treats (i.e. ice cream sundaes, shakes, paletas, etc.) Merchandise products attractively in freezers, display cases, and promotional areas. Maintain proper inventory levels to meet customer demand by managing inventory and placing orders for product. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Provide friendly, helpful assistance to customers. Answer questions about products and make recommendations. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department lead or store management.
