The Exercise Assistant on East Campus supports each resident’s physical and functional wellness program while collaborating with the therapy team. The exercise assistant will work alongside direct care team members in playing an active role in supporting resident ADL's. This is a physical position with time spent facilitating traditional therapies as well as: Adaptive Sports – think tandem bike riding, rock climbing, archery and golf Virtual Reality – who wouldn't want to travel through space and time? Other creative therapy methods – you are only limited by your creativity The Exercise Assistant complies with the resident’s therapy program, reports residents’ participation & progress in exercise program to therapists, and attends care conferences with residents, family members, and other healthcare professionals. The Exercise Assistant will occasionally conduct in-service training to other team members, as well as participate in new team member orientation.
