Description DEPARTMENT: PACKAGING JOB TITLE: FORKLIFT OPERATOR LINE: PACKAGING FLOOR JOB CODE: 051 JOB SUMMARY: Operate forklift on the packaging floor in a safe and efficient manner. PRODUCTION STANDARDS: · Keep lines provided with proper supply of materials on a timely basis. · Properly inspect and maintain fluid levels of forklift. · Communicate with line operators, crew leaders, and other forklift operators. · Able to plan ahead. · Need to be extremely safety conscious. · Use correct materials. · Able to identify defective materials. · Forklift operators can only use the battery that corresponds to their forklift number. · Required to sort pallets by size and vendor in their assigned area of the packing floor. · Other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Must work in a sitting position for extended periods of time, safety glasses are required.
