Responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, schedule, and manage projects, ensuring effective cost control, proper documentation, and smooth execution.
  • Meet with clients to gather detailed requirements, clarify specifications, and confirm project deliverables.
  • Participate in contract reviews to assess the company’s ability to meet order requirements, including attending tender clarification meetings with prospective clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and standards, including workplace safety, equipment and machinery inspections/testing, and staff training needs.
  • Monitor work progress, enforce quality standards, and oversee project activities to ensure timely completion with minimal wastage.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs throughout project execution.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and construction managers in delivering large and complex projects.
  • Coordinate work progress with internal departments to resolve issues affecting project execution.
  • Liaise with government/statutory authorities, consultants, clients, and suppliers to facilitate project requirements.
  • Prepare and present timely project progress reports to management.
  • Attend and contribute to project execution meetings.
  • Apply for all necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities such as the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) and the Ministry of Manpower.
  • Identify project issues early, recommend corrective actions, and ensure solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required for project success.
