Summary / Objective The Service Technician is responsible for working in the field or in the service center as required, diagnosing and repairing a full array of consumer appliances and electronics along with periodic issues with furniture if required. Responsibilities Outstanding diagnostic/problem solving skills along with exceptional communication and customer service skills for the proper repair of the company’s 82 store chain along with all other related business/customers. Prescreen, identify, analyze and repair product ensuring customer satisfaction The tech must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot as repair challenges occur. The tech must repair LCD, LED, DLP, and Plasma TV’s as well as stereos and general audio equipment. The tech must work with the Shop Manager to ensure that all warranty claims are submitted. The tech must have the ability to effectively utilize on-line resources The tech must maintain the company’s tools and equipment. The tech must maintain the electronic records regarding service provided and discuss all areas of concern with the Shop Manager. The tech must manage parts inventory and working collaboratively with management to ensure that inventory is available for repairs. The tech must be able to repair HE Washers and Dryers, refrigerators and gas/electric stoves. Competencies Diagnostic skillset Communication Skills Time Management and organization Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of repair experience, possess all required certifications for warranty work, basic knowledge of MS Office and Smartphone. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will require additional hours as needed.
