JOB POSTING TITLE: CMA Operator A POSITION OBJECTIVE: Operate the automated warehouse for finish good inventory entry and exit. Staging all needed orders for outbound shipments and/or internal processes. Always keep the automated warehouse operational. Maintain inventory and housekeeping QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent Forklift experience or certification Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Pull pallets/materials according to shipment assignments Enter pallets from production Deliver pallets to production or other departments Inventory Document daily activities, downtime, pallet crashes, and tracking of pallets Reports on daily functions of reruns, abnormalities, and alarms Inspect and maintain forklifts, working areas, and the warehouse All aspects of operations for the automated warehouse (CMA) WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION: Ability to read digital displays, tape measurement Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for more than one hour Subject to noise, moving machinery, and/or electrical currents Possible exposure to some chemicals, gases, and high heat Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors and dust Subject to vibration, exposure to fluctuating movements of the body TRAINING All training assigned by the Supervisor/ Department Forklift certification AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING: Authority to make decisions pertaining to the department and as directed in accordance with the Delegation of Authority Procedure in the absence of the manager and/or supervisor. Authority to make decisions and authorize signature in approval areas pertaining to the department as directed and deemed appropriate by the Manager and or Supervisor Available for these tasks assigned by management in their absence MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE: Warehouse stackers, cells, left tables, transfer decks Forklifts, conveyors, dock ramps/doors, computers, and scanners PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION: Climbing ascending or descending stairs, ramps, using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized Stooping, bending of the spine and waist Kneeling and bending of legs at the knees Sitting and standing for sustained periods of time Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish a task, particularly for long distances Pushing, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul, or move objects in a sustained motion Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher position, or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Degree of lifting: 5-50lb Fingering, picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm, as in handling, typing with fingers Ability to hear and talk, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Via face-to-face or telephone. Ability to differentiate colors. Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
