Justteachers are working with a specialist SEMH school in Nuneaton to recruit a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with behavioural needs. This is a full-time position running from September 2025 to July 2026.
The school provides a therapeutic and nurturing environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, often alongside other complex or additional needs. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting one student to engage with learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence and trust within the school setting.

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with identified behavioural needs, offering consistent and calm guidance throughout the school day
• Build a strong, trusting relationship to help the pupil develop positive routines, self-regulation strategies, and improved emotional resilience
• Implement strategies from the pupil’s behaviour support plan, working closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team
• De-escalate challenging situations using positive behaviour techniques (training can be provided)
