A vibrant and happy one-form entry primary school based in Northolt, UB5, is in need of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism and Speech and Language Difficulties. This role will start ASAP and continue until the end of the next academic year (July 2025).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have previous experience working with pupils with Autism and speech and language difficulties. The pupil has no behaviour difficulties but requires guidance to stay focused on tasks assigned by the teacher, as well as some assistance with communication.
Patience is key for this role, and ideally, you will demonstrate strong relationship-building skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant, along with the ability to raise levels of numeracy and literacy. In collaboration with the staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
o Eligibility to work in the UK
