1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – SECONDARY SCHOOL – HACKNEY

A high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 from September 2025. • Provide 1:1 support to students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and learning challenges
• Help students access learning by breaking down instructions, modelling tasks, and scaffolding classroom activities
• Support students with emotional regulation and confidence building during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times (e.g. break/lunch)
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to ensure consistent and tailored support
• Engage in wider school life – ideal candidates will bring creativity, initiative, or interests such as sports, drama, music, or visual arts
