Description

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD DESERVES ACCESS TO A HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION TAILORED TO THEIR NEEDS?

Not all children follow the same educational journey, and some require additional support to create an environment where they can truly thrive. This role focuses on building confidence, fostering positive relationships, and reintroducing children to a structured curriculum in a way that works for them.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic partner organization that specializes in supporting children within mainstream education.
Are you a Teaching Assistant in the Mansfield or the surrounding area looking for a new role that offers variety and the ability to adapt to the needs of the children you support? In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, helping them gain confidence and re-engage with education. While most of your work will involve 1:1 support, you will also facilitate small group activities to help children reintegrate with their peers.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in various settings, including schools, community centers, and vocational environments, ensuring that children receive holistic support in the most suitable setting for their growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Delivering pre-planned interventions to children on a 1:1 basis (with the flexibility to adapt to each child’s needs)
  • Supporting group activities to help children build social confidence
  • Creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment for children to thrive
  • Reporting pupil progress to senior staff and identifying areas for improvement
  • Helping children manage emotions and regulate their behavior
  • Working alongside vocational staff and other specialists to deliver a broad, enriched curriculum
  • Transporting children between sites when required
  • Upholding the highest safeguarding standards at all times
  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
