Per Diem Opportunity at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital   We are seeking an advanced practitioner who is interested in covering rounds at Sunnyview one weekend per month.   Details of the Opportunity: * Coverage: Saturday and Sunday rounds * Responsibilities: New consults plus rounding on a minimum of 25 patients * Typical Time Commitment: Approximately 5–6 hours per day * Compensation: $65 per hour   This is a great option for anyone looking to supplement their schedule with additional weekend work in a supportive and collaborative environment! Qualifications * License and active registration as a physician assistant or registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State. * Physician Assistant: * Bachelor's or equivalent degree in physician assistant studies and successful completion of physician assistant training program approved by the NYS Department of Education or accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, or a program that is determined by the Department to be the substantial equivalent of a licensure qualifying or accredited program. * Attainment of passing grade on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. * Current certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. * At least one year of experience as a physician assistant in ambulatory health care. * Current CPR certification. * Nurse Practitioner: * Successful completion of and graduation from a nurse practitioner education program acceptable to NYSED. * Current certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). * Successful completion of pharmacology coursework acceptable to NYSED. * Three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. * At least one year of experience as a nurse practitioner in ambulatory health care. * Current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
The practitioner will be responsible for new consults and rounding on a minimum of 25 patients during the weekend. The typical time commitment is approximately 5–6 hours per day.
