Job Details Job Location: Hotel Valencia Santana Row - San Jose, CA 95128 Salary Range: $18.10 - $18.00 Hourly Job Title: Bell/Valet Attendant Location: Hotel Valencia Santana Row, San Jose, CA Job Summary: As a Bell/Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for fulfilling all guest service needs while on property, offering a combination of both valet and bellman duties. You will work in the front of the house and interact with guests frequently, providing top-notch service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills and previous customer service experience is a plus. Shift Requirements: We are currently hiring for open availability, ranging from: 6:00AM – 11:00PM Overnight shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (On occasion for coverage) Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: Welcome guests to the hotel with a friendly and professional attitude. Handle guest luggage and ensure timely delivery to rooms. Assist guests with dry-cleaning pickup and delivery. Provide information on local attractions, room features, and hotel amenities. Deliver messages and packages to meetings and guest rooms. Attend required meetings and participate in ongoing training. Keep work areas clean and organized. Maintain a high level of courtesy and professionalism with both guests and fellow employees. Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately. Ensure hotel equipment is in proper working condition. Assist valet staff as needed, and maintain a clean driving record to drive guest vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Working Environment: Primarily working in the exterior areas of the hotel, with occasional interior tasks. Exposure to varied weather conditions. Physical Requirements: Standing/Walking: Constant, for varying lengths of time. Stooping (Bending at waist): Frequent, to load/unload luggage and bell carts. Pushing/Pulling: Bell carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Lifting/Carrying: Guest luggage weighing up to 50 pounds. Qualifications: Previous experience in hotel operations or customer service is preferred. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with guests and team members. Ability to work productively in a team environment. Multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Composure and patience under pressure. Ability to work with multiple computer programs. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
