Job Title: Medical Device Sales Representative (1099/Contract)
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas
Reports To: COO
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Medical Device Sales Representative to facilitate our expansion into the DFW area, with special emphasis placed on serving VA facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DME/O&P sales and working knowledge of the unique way in which the VA system in DFW and surrounding areas does business. As a Medical Device Sales Rep, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our braces to healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical institutions. This is a commission only contract position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in medical device sales or a similar healthcare sales role (preferred).
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and quotas.
  • Ability to present technical information in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned sales territory, including occasional overnight stays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience selling Durable Medical Equipment and/or knee and back braces.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, industry standards, and compliance guidelines.
  • Extensive knowledge of the federal procurement lifecycle, established relationships within the VA, and a deep understanding of the unique requirements for selling to this critical agency
Responsibilities
  • Sales & Territory Management: Develop and manage assigned sales territory to drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Product Knowledge & Presentations: Educate healthcare professionals and institutions on the features, benefits, and proper usage of our medical devices through in-person presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions as needed.
  • Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare providers, surgeons, and hospital staff, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor competitive activity and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies as necessary. Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and market conditions.
  • Sales Targets & Quota Achievement: Establish sales through consistent prospecting and lead generation.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory guidelines, company policies, and industry standards. Accurately document all sales activities, customer interactions, and orders.
  • Scanning & Fitting Patients: This is a top-to-bottom sales position; you alone will be responsible for scanning patients, receiving fabricated braces, and fitting the patients to fulfill an order.
