Description 1099 Technical Recruiter (Independent Contractor) Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This role is ideal for a self-motivated recruiter who already operates as an independent business, has their own LLC, and thrives in a performance-driven, commission-only environment. You will have full autonomy over how you recruit while partnering with a firm that values results, professionalism, and long-term collaboration. Key Responsibilities • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for technical roles, from sourcing through placement • Proactively source, screen, and engage qualified technical candidates using your own tools and networks • Conduct thorough candidate screenings and present well-qualified, well-prepared candidates • Manage candidate relationships, follow-up, and pipeline activity independently • Coordinate interviews and maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders as needed • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to candidate activity and placements • Operate with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability as an independent partner Required Qualifications • 4+ years of technical recruiting experience • Prior experience working as a 1099 recruiter or independent contractor • Must operate under your own LLC or legal business entity • Proven ability to work independently without day-to-day oversight • Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate assessment skills • Results-driven mindset with a track record of successful placements • Excellent communication, time management, and follow-through Preferred Qualifications • Experience recruiting in fast-paced or niche technical markets • Established candidate networks within technical disciplines • Comfort managing multiple searches simultaneously Compensation & Structure • 1099 Independent Contractor (Commission Only) • You control your methods, schedule, and approach—we focus solely on results • Recruiters are responsible for their own business expenses, including recruiting tools, job boards, and networking costs • Fees or commissions are paid upon successful placements Contract Continuation • Ongoing partnership depends on meeting or exceeding outlined performance expectations • Failure to maintain consistent results may result in termination of the agreement at the company’s discretion Why Partner With Us This opportunity is designed for recruiters who view recruiting as a business, not a job.
