JOB SUMMARY:

Has responsibility to meet or exceed the required expectations of our “ESP” (Exceptional Service Provider) program (refer to the Employee Handbook).
In accordance with established policies and procedures, at the direction of the VP Project Management, this individual supports the Bank’s Data Processing daily functions, administers user access, assists end users with system functionality, and provides support for banking application software. This includes conducting regular system reviews, troubleshooting issues with vendors, and providing training and support to end users to ensure they are fully equipped to utilize the software effectively. The individual will also collaborate with the various departments as part of the Strategy and Innovation Team, to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure that the software applications meet the evolving needs of the Bank and its customers. The work of the successful candidate influences the professional image of the Bank within the community it serves.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to prepare and interpret detailed verbal or written instructions and/or perform complex mathematical functions
  • Prior knowledge of bank core system applications and office desktop applications is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in the following areas or combination of areas is required: compliance, item processing, electronic banking, and/ or bank operations support.
  • Minimum educational requirements include a high school degree.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new software systems and implement training for a variety of end users.
  • The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in organization and prioritization of the work.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet daily deadlines is essential to successful job performance
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize tact, confidentiality and good customer service skills when dealing with other bank personnel, clients and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive documentation of system changes, user guides, and training materials to support ongoing user education and system maintenance.
  • Experience in administering user access and providing user support for banking application software is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in all aspects of personal computers (Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, etc.) is necessary.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS (Weighting cannot exceed 100%; Each % represents the value of the job, not time spent):

  • Job Performance Behaviors: Contributing to organization success, job effectiveness, relationships and customer satisfaction. (Weighting Percentage: 20%)
  • Administer user access and provide user support for banking application software (Weighting Percentage: 20%)
  • Assist Project Manager and System Administrators with the installation, update, and maintenance of banking application software (Weighting Percentage: 20%)
  • Configure and monitor banking application software and hardware (Weighting Percentage: 20%)
  • Assist with reviewing and maintaining current equipment, software, and processes to ensure that all banking operation activities are conducted in an efficient and effective manner. (Weighting Percentage: 10%)
  • Monitor to ensure the operation of software and hardware for all bank ATMs, TCRs, Branch Capture machines, and other devices used by bank personnel to assist customers. (Weighting Percentage: 10%)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary to ensure a continuous workflow of daily operations.
  • Conduct training of users on banking application software
  • Performs vendor defined user maintenance and preventative maintenance on banking application software.
  • Maintains log (using automated tracking system) of application software related issues/ problems.
  • Log tickets and collaborate with various vendors to ensure issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist with testing and deploying new technologies.
  • Provide evening and weekend support as needed to ensure banking applications are available as needed by our customers and bank personnel.
  • Complete testing of application implementations and Disaster Recovery tests as needed evenings and weekends.
