The Advanced Digital Innovation Center (ADIC) at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), located in Lecce, is looking for talented, motivated and proactive Junior Research Associate in Data Management in the framework of the PNRR HPC SPOKE 4 project.

REQUIREMENTS
- M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent fields
- 3+ years’ experience in scientific software development and parallel programming
- Excellent knowledge of Python programming language
- Good knowledge of data management systems, and DBMS design
- Good knowledge of data delivery technologies and platforms (e.g. ERDDAP)
- Relevant experience with scripting languages like Bash and Python
- Experience in software development and software version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience with the Linux environment.
- Knowledge of Python scientific libraries and tools for data analysis (i.e., numpy, pandas, Jupyter notebooks).
- Knowledge of NetCDF data formats and related tools
- Experience with HPC systems is a plus
- Fluency in both written and spoken English language
Responsibilities:
ROLE
The Junior Research Associate is responsible for supporting research activities in Data Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Research Associate will be involved in the:
- Development and improvement of data management solutions and strategies for handling heterogenous climate/environmental data sources.
- Drafting of scientific reports and technical documentation related to the developed solutions.
