REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as IT Helpdesk or similar support role
  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology; Candidates with a degree in a scientific discipline will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS systems and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of GNU/Linux system administration
  • Knowledge of network administration
  • Practical knowledge of video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, Meet) and AV setups in meeting rooms.
  • Basic Windows support is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and a user-support focused attitude.
  • Good written and spoken English skills, particularly in technical contexts.
Responsibilities

ROLE

The candidate will provide first-level support to users, mainly for macOS devices, as well as offer hands-on assistance during video conferencing meetings. Additional activities include network and Linux server administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The candidate will work in close collaboration with the central IT function, and the activities will be carried out in compliance with internal procedures and IT guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to CMCC staff for hardware and software issues, with a focus on Apple devices (MacBooks, iMacs).
  • Provide support with the administration of a server room (small set of Linux servers used for data processing, storage, and data transfer).
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
  • network connectivity, peripherals, printers
  • productivity software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Video conferencing support
  • Support onboarding of new users (device setup, account creation, workstation preparation).
  • Play an active role in protecting CMCC from cyber threats and ensuring that IT security best practices are followed.
  • Log incidents and interventions accurately.
