MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)

Required

  • Post-high school education (2- or 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in a warehouse management environment
  • Strong computer skills, Familiar with Honda Web and HSP system
  • Organized and detailed with deadlines – Teamwork driven
  • Strong Communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Flexible hours when needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • English (Written and Verbal)
Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor daily inventory/production control activities
  • Directly manage inventory supervisor within department
  • Support in placing daily HSP orders within Honda Web
  • Support control component quantities on production floor
  • Support Build Out(s)
  • Support Yearly Inventory with Internal/External Auditors
  • Roll-up Monthly SQCDME Report
  • Daily Customer Communication
  • Maintain professional daily communications with all levels of associates and the customer
  • Investigate and respond to Trouble Reports in Honda Web (NARS) for SQCDM incidents and develop countermeasures
  • Oversee Countermeasure Confirmations
  • Solve problems and resolve issues and concerns that impact operational performance (quality, safety, finance, associate relations)
  • Provide efficiency planning and cost improvements through Kaizen and Gemba activities
  • Conduct Quality Audits, Sorts and Investigations
  • Monitor Safety, Quality and Delivery results and report as needed; assist in the development of countermeasures and rotate PDCA
  • Anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures
  • Provide analytical assessment of job functions and processes
  • Creation and maintenance of initial departmental procedures, operations standards, documents, forms, etc.
  • Maintenance of the departmental training matrix
  • Maintain all regulatory and compliance requirements of the Department
  • Manage projects and provide guidance when needed
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring; take actions to correct variances
  • Place MRO Orders through Procurement / Oracle (JDE)
  • Conduct Associate Appreciation Activities
  • Control Honda Web (CMS) Capacity Management System Changes and Updates
  • Control NAFTA Requests per Honda Request
  • Support in Completing Risk Assessments
  • Support in PQCT vs SOP Audits
  • Support Control Design Changes
  • Support New Model activities
  • Support business plan goals; develop and monitor departmental activities to ensure goals are achieved
  • Support manpower planning and budgeting for efficient operations are in place and required resources are available to meet customer and corporate requirements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all members of the Department
