JOB OVERVIEW

Site Manager - 132kV Substation
We are looking for a dedicated and highly experienced Site Manager to lead the civil and electrical installation for a 132kV grid connection at a Solar PV site in Nottingham.
The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical substation installations, demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, and exhibit a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless and efficient execution of a new electrical grid connection, contributing to the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the area.

Responsibilities
  • Overall management of the Civil and Electrical installation
  • Managing teams of on-site personnel (works scheduling, team rostering, KPI’s, safety & development)
  • Management of 3rd party contract works on site
  • Project budget management – reporting and integration with Commercial team
  • Enforce safety policies for the safety and wellbeing of staff
  • Perform Quality and Safety Inspections/Audits.
  • Understanding of Contractual requirement > Direct and manage variations, estimate and approvals.
  • Represent Mitie in the local community – interaction with land owners and local stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with the Client, Project Managers and sub-contractors.
  • Ability to Operate Effectively within a Team Environment
