Position Summary: As Associate, Distribution & Logistics Sourcing Specialist, you will support the strategic sourcing of D&L goods and services, for our new retail client based in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on executing annual vendor renewals in partnership with client stakeholders, strategic sourcing initiatives, supporting contract negotiations, and analyzing spend and market data to drive value for the client in the retail industry. As a key member of our Center of Excellence Team (COE), collaborating with the Client Services team on D&L related programs, this person will be reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, Distribution & Logistics. Responsibilities: Effectively communicate with the procurement team, Client’s D&L and cross-functional partners to gather project requirements, confirm budget and align on sourcing strategies and supplier selection recommendations. Develop negotiations baseline, proposals/RFx responses analysis and utilize client savings calculation model to build scenarios in support of solution development. Prepare RFx documentation as per Client’s processes and requirements. Participate in procurement projects (e.g., RFxs, renewals) to ensure optimal cost while meeting business requirements. Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations and reports to clients and internal stakeholders. Provide analytical support by leveraging OneMarket Insights platform and creating analysis of market intelligence, spend data, and other resources to map category landscape, identify opportunities for savings and uncover additional insights. Manage project approvals and updates in OneMarket Portfolio on behalf of the Category team. Drive project / event execution through OneMarket Sourcing platform. Provide support to manage the contracting process on behalf of the Category team using the CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) system. Build and maintain efficient and courteous relationships with Client’s Global Procurement team, business units, and cross-functional partners (Legal, FP&A, Cybersecurity, and others). Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree. 2-4 years of experience in analysis and/or procurement. Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques. Ability to turn complex data into meaningful reports. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. Exposure strategic sourcing, procurement, contract administration, and/or project management processes. Experience or exposure to Indirect Procurement – D&L development is a plus. Analytically adept with strong reporting skills and keen attention to detail. Good reasoning; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing accordingly to meet deadlines. Self-starter with ability to multi-task, make sound business decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Travel: This position may require occasional travel.
