SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; operating standard office equipment; performing standard clerical procedures; preparing and maintaining accurate records; keyboarding; and utilizing pertinent software application.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: concepts of grammar and punctuation; office methods and equipment; legal procedures, policies, and regulations related to student enrollment and confidentiality of student records.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities and/or meetings; routinely gather, collate and/or classify data; and use basic job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others; and analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment. In working with others, problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: being attentive to detail; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; working under time constraints; maintaining confidentiality and working with frequent interruptions.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The job of High School Registrar Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing a variety of clerical support; communicating information to staff, the public, and other districts; documenting information on students functioning and recommendations regarding class placement, ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative requirements, and providing information and direction.
