Description Maintenance Technician Associate (1st & 2nd Shift) Location: Lexington, KY Pay: 1st Shift: $17–$21/hr (DOE) + OT Available 2nd Shift: $19–$23/hr (DOE, includes shift differential) + OT Available Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire What This Job Is Really About Looking to get into maintenance or grow your hands-on skills? What Your Day May Look Like Start your shift in a safety meeting Review work orders and priorities Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues on the floor Perform basic repairs on machinery and facility systems Help complete preventive maintenance tasks before breakdowns happen Replace parts like belts, bearings, filters, and electrical components Test equipment using basic diagnostic tools Work alongside experienced techs on larger repairs Log completed work and updates in CMMS What You’ll Be Working On Packaging lines, conveyors, and production equipment Motors, pumps, compressors, and drive systems Electrical systems (wiring, outlets, panels, components) HVAC systems, air handlers, and facility equipment General building maintenance (lighting, plumbing, repairs) Tools & Equipment Hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, wrenches, hoists) Multimeters and basic electrical testing tools CMMS/work order systems Blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals What You’ll Be Doing Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, inspections, filter changes) Inspect motors, belts, drives, and fluid levels using checklists Help install or repair wiring and equipment components Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts Clean and maintain machinery (shafts, bearings, gears, etc.) Record maintenance work, parts used, and repairs completed Support inventory tracking for parts and supplies Follow all safety standards (LOTO, OSHA, etc.)
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician Associate will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment while performing preventive maintenance tasks. They will also document work orders in the CMMS and ensure all safety standards are followed during facility operations.
