OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 1st Assistant Camera (1st AC) to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Photography and ensuring that all camera equipment is prepared and maintained for shoots. This position requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will also be in charge or media management and preparing the shuttle drives for shipping.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a 1st AC or in a similar role within film or television production.
  • Strong understanding of camera systems, lenses, and related equipment.
  • Ability to work long hours on set while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with various filming techniques and an understanding of lighting principles is preferred.
  • Must be adaptable and able to troubleshoot problems quickly under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Photography in setting up and operating camera equipment, including lenses, filters, and accessories.
  • Manage the camera department by organizing gear, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with the camera crew to execute shots according to the director’s vision while adhering to production schedules.
  • Perform lens changes, focus pulls, and other technical tasks during filming to ensure high-quality footage.
  • Monitor camera settings and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired visual effects.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on all camera gear and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise on set.
  • Assist in the preparation of shooting locations by setting up tripods, dollies, and other camera support equipment.
  • Media management. Will download media into shuttle drives and maintain a camera report
  • The pay is $650 for 12. There also a kit fee.
