CENTURY GOLF PARTNERS MANAGEMENT     1ST ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL POSITION DESCRIPTION   POSITION SUMMARY   The 1st Assistant Golf Professional will assist in managing the golf facility in an efficient, high-quality, service-orientated manner. This position will report to the Director of Golf and General Manager. Year Round Position (52-week position) Annual Salary Range $50,000 - $55,000 Potential Lesson Income $6,000 - $11,000     EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED * Must partner with management to promote and operate facility in a way to drive revenue. * 1-2 years golf industry experience  * Leadership skills; the ability to lead people  * Strong customer orientation  * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  * Management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities  * Basic computer proficiency and skills  * PGA apprentice or member preferred  * Municipal, Private, Semi-Private golf course experience  * High Volume Golf Facility Experience   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff  * Trains new Pro Shop Staff and Outside Services Staff  * Monitors guest experience and takes appropriate action to assure the best customer service  * Coordinates and administers the daily work schedule of the pro shop staff and outside services staff  * Manages the staff in their maintenance of daily cash receipts and accounts receivable charges  * Orders merchandise for sale in the pro shop  * Assist in developing and managing an innovative tournament program that services all members and outside play  * Assist with golf instruction & golfer development programs in conjunction with Golf Academy  * Assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, acts as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service or golf shop shifts.  * Performs other duties as required under the direction of the head golf professional and general manager.    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS * Valid Driver’s License.  * Must be able to work well under pressure.  * Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.  * Must be highly detailed orientated.  * Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.  * Must have excellent listening skills.  * Must possess excellent communication skills.  * Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.  * Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.  * Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates.  * Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.    BENEFITS * Holiday Bonus * Insurance (Medical, Dental & Vision * Personal Use Agreement (Vendor TBD) * Clothing Allowance * PGA Dues Paid * PGA Education Reimbursement * Club Repair Gratuity * Meals while on duty * Playing and Practicing Privileges   TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Outside weather factors: Humidity, Heat, Cold, Rain possibility Indoor/ Golf Pro Shop area   SPECIAL EQUIPMENT Standard Office Equipment/ Personal Computer/POS System/ Golf Reservation System/ Calculator
