JOB DESCRIPTION

ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services are hiring a 1st Cook/Sous Chef position for a remote lodge near Fort McMurray, AB. This dual-role position alternates between 1st Cook and Sous Chef responsibilities, supporting both the hands-on execution of daily food service and the leadership of kitchen operations. The role requires a highly adaptable culinary professional with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, capable of maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and team performance.

Transportation is provided out of Edmonton, AB to site
Rotation are 20 days on/10 days off

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of culinary experience in remote camp or hospitality environments.
  • Journeyman or Red Seal Certification (or working toward it).
  • Valid WHMIS, Food Safe Advanced, and First Aid certifications.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in time management and prioritization.
  • Physically capable of meeting the demands of a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Willingness to work long rotations and adapt to split shifts and remote locations.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) is an asset.
    This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
