YOUR FUTURE, AS AN IT HELPDESK TECHNICIAN AT MYDENTIST

You’ll be joining our IT Team within our Support Centre based in Kearsley (M26 1GG)

  • Initially, an 18-month fixed-term contract with potential opportunities for a permanent role following the 18 months
  • The role is full-time Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • Supportive and experienced team
  • You will benefit from free onsite parking, and Kearsley train station is just a short walk away
  • With an onsite mini market shop and casual seating space inside and outside (for the sunnier days)

YOUR SKILLS:

  • Experience in an IT Helpdesk Environment
  • Experience of Windows Vista, 7 and 8
  • Experience of Microsoft Office products; word, excel, and outlook
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Understanding of ITIL principles

Responsibilities

As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you’ll be:

  • Ensuring that all calls are logged accurately and promptly following call logging procedures.
  • Identifying and resolving hardware/software-related problems for example SMS, imail, password resets, and basic IT equipment.
  • Providing 1st line fixes
  • Escalating issues as required in line with the escalation process
  • Working with other areas of the IT department and championing ‘right first-time’ service to maintain a 95% SLA on all IT issues
  • Educating/reinforcing IDH IT policies and procedures to end users
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, answering approximately 60 calls per day
  • Building and configuring IT hardware e.g. laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
