This role is responsible for producing high-quality printed products while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules. Key Responsibilities Lead and direct the press crew through setup, operation, and job changeovers. Review job tickets and determine effective production methods. Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Monitor registration, color, folds, glue patterns, die cuts, perforations, and other print characteristics. Coordinate shift handoffs and communicate equipment status. Oversee routine maintenance and housekeeping. Troubleshoot web breaks and production challenges. Collaborate with maintenance on repairs. Train and mentor crew members. Ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance. Monitor production counts and quality checkpoints. Support continuous improvement. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Five to ten years of web printing experience. Previous 2nd Pressman experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of web offset press operations and print quality. Leadership and communication skills. Basic math and measurement skills. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Stand for 8–12 hour shifts. Full range of mobility and manual dexterity.
