About the Role: The Fab Shop Assistant / Material Handler is not a warehouse position. This position will assist loading/unloading the laser, as well as moving materials to and from the Fab Shop. The Fab Shop Assistant will also perform other duties within the Fab Shop as needed. Some of these duties include operating other fab shop machines (grinder, punch, drill, etc.) The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a fabrication shop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Loading / unloading materials from laser Operating other tools / machines used in a Fab Shop, such as grinders, drills, saws, punch, etc. Operating a forklift safely to transport machined parts within the facility. (from / to fab shop, paint department, production lines and warehouse.) Inventory management - keep accurate records of inventory movement (receipts/transfers) within each department Equipment maintenance - perform daily equipment checks, reporting any mechanical issues or problems to your supervisor Safety compliance - adhere to all safety regulations and guideline to prevent accidents, damage to property, and injuries to yourself or others Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

The primary duties involve assisting in the fabrication shop by loading and unloading materials from the laser, moving materials throughout the facility using a forklift, and operating various fabrication machines like grinders and drills. This role also requires performing inventory management and ensuring daily equipment checks and maintenance.
