JOB TITLE: HOUSEKEEPER - CROTHALL HEALTHCARE AT UK HOSPITAL

Crothall Healthcare at UK Hospital is seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our housekeeping team. The housekeeping department is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, bathrooms, doctor’s areas, and nurses’ stations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays from 7am-3:30pm.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to walk long distances and lift/pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, lobbies, bathrooms, and empty office spaces.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Empty and clean trash containers, disposing of trash in a sanitary manner.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces.
  • Make up beds and change linens as needed.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Address housekeeping issues, such as spills or broken glass, promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and demonstrate professionalism with customers and colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
