Description First Shift: 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday- Friday $16-$19 Hourly, Piece-Rate Opportunity Job Purpose: To inspect for imperfections and pack tools according to the company and/or customer standards. Essential Functions: Inspects tools for defects, such as: cracks, bent tools, paint/coating imperfections and informs supervisor of defects. Wraps, labels and packs products for shipment at greater than the minimum quantity required as directed by Foreman. May also have to dip sharp ends in protective coating solution and/or place gauges and protective sheaths/guards on products. Moves, loads and unloads tools/product in cart and transports to specific staging area and transports completed and inspected shipping cartons to staging area for transfer to the warehouse. Completes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: One to three months of related experience or on-the-job training. Physical: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use arms/hands to reach, finger, handle or feel, talk and hear for 8 hours or more per day. Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 40 pounds. Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to work. Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, high noise levels, and vibration to hands. Employees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection. Mental: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions. Must be able to perform mathematical skills such as: addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
