Description POSITION OBJECTIVE: Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production and building equipment while following Truvant’s approved production and quality documentation ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production machinery. Maintains and repairs building equipment and physical structures, including electrical systems. Assist Operators in startups of production machinery. Use hand tools, power tools, welders, hoists, forklifts, and measuring and testing instruments to repair or fabricate components for repairs, modifications, or installations. Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, use electrical and electronic test equipment. Must submit documentation for inventory used, assigned tasks, and PMs completed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in an appropriate technical field of study. Minimum three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. On the job training provided SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures Ability to pay close attention to detail Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job Skill in reading and understanding blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings Some knowledge and understanding of basic PLC programing logic. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills Skill in multitasking and time management and self-motivation. Understanding of and experience with 110-208-480-volt single phase and 3 phase electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair standard mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues. Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers Must be able to reach, touch, grasp Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 75 pounds TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 0-25% - Travel may be required to support business needs
