Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect product and processes at various stages of production process. Ensures continuous production of products is consistent with established standards by performing the following duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Ensures that all incoming raw materials and packaging are inspected and meet specifications. • Samples raw materials to ensure inbound ingredients are in specification. • Pulls samples for retention program. • Conduct daily food safety audits in the facility to ensure GMP’s are being adhered to and report deficiencies to QA Manager. • Conducts inspections and completes and/or verifies documentation required by our SQF program. • Conduct daily quality audits in the warehouse area to ensure compliance of storage requirements. • Conducts daily audits to ensure the facility complies with all FDA requirements. • Verify temperature and record keeping for the inbound refrigeration trailers. • Maintain accurate data files and track retention program. • Report findings and recommendations to key personnel as necessary. • Perform other duties as specified by QA Manager. • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: • High School graduate and limited experience in a production facility or 2 + years of experience working in a FDA food plant. Preferred: HACCP certified and / or SQF Certified. • Have the ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Bi-lingual preferred. • Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. • Have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. • Have the ability to enter and interpret data on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word documents • Have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Responsibilities
