Primary Objective of Position Convert, inspect and/or ship high-quality products in a timely manner using work instructions, CADS (if applicable), written documentation and measuring devices, while maintaining compliance to the policies of entity-specific quality systems, Lean Manufacturing and Computype CQET. Major Areas of Accountability Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: People Provide accurate and timely communication between co-workers, group leaders and/or supervisors on product, equipment, throughput or quality issues. Equipment Efficiently and effectively operate at least one finishing workstation. Perform required maintenance and associated written documentation on specific equipment as per work instructions. Use Computype's Business Systems software to accurately record production throughput, labor hours, material usage, inventory and/or quality issues. Processes Effectively comply with job-specific work instructions or other written documentation and the related quality procedures. Comply with schedule requirements as defined by production queue, group leaders or production supervisors. Proactively keep production throughput highly efficient, meet Computype standard job timings and customer expectations. Adhere to Computype policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook particularly safety and security, attendance and work hours, i.e. all employment practices. Remain current on all policies and procedures relating to specific products or equipment; keep training records current on specific equipment, jobs, or tasks. Practice the concepts of Lean Manufacturing on the production floor. Comply with all safety regulations and policies as defined in the Computype Safety Policy with special attention to the weightlifting restrictions and the personal protection necessary while working on the production floor. Perform other tasks/duties as apparent or assigned; self-motivated and self-directed. Requirements Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Ability to apply good computer and math skills to job. Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to read and understand CAD (computer aided design) drawings, if applicable, have legible penmanship, good communication, problem solving skills and be detail oriented. Have the flexibility to work overtime when necessary and change shift hours (first, second, or third) as needed to meet production schedules. Knowledge of production measurement devices such as SPC, eye piece, calipers, and customer specifications. Understand and practice the concepts of Lean Manufacturing and quality at the source. Self-directed, self-motivated, strives for self-responsibility, is accountable, a team-builder and a team player. Ability to lift heavy rolls of materials or heavy equipment dies, a minimum of 50 lbs. (Lifts provided for assistance. Pay starts at $19.00 for this role.
