Description

Provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area. Participate in employment, staffing and performance management decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance. Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. Drive plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from RPO Key Projects and others as deemed by Focus Factory and Plant Managers Maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules. Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan. Plan and prioritize departmental as well as plant wide production schedules based on customer delivery dates, efficiencies, and material supplies. Monitor departmental and plantwide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded. Engage employees in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving. Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture. Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced. Communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering in a manufacturing environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Position Criteria: Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels & departments Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and engineering processes.
