* 1st  Shift M-F 6:00am- 2:30pm * Huntington Beach   SUMMARY The Production Technician works in all areas of Production which includes, working with composite structures, producing complex assemblies, tape wrapping, and compression molding. We believe that solving the industry’s most complex and mission-critical challenges requires relentless determination and a willingness to push the boundaries of possibility.  Karman Space & Defense brings to bear unparalleled production capabilities, unmatched engineering expertise, and unflinching analysis to render the impossible, possible.   COMPENSATION & BENEFITS    * Medical, Dental, Vision * Company Paid Life Insurance * 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Paid Holidays * Tuition Reimbursement*   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  * Complete work orders/travelers when they are scheduled to be finalized.  * Utilizing ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.  * Understand the production process in the various areas which include tape wrapping, cutting, and compression molding and hand layup of composites. * Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.  * Mix and measure resin and adhesive. * Adjust temperature controls of ovens.  * Review blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.  * Maintain production or processing equipment.  * Use of upper body mobility, such as bending, use of arms and hands, and standing for the majority of the time.     EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  * 2-3 years of experience preferred.  * Ability to lift 50lbs.  * Repetitive motion   ITAR REQUIREMENTS: * To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
