The Premier Manufacturer of Class A, High-Visibility Automotive Components Position: Shipping and Receiving Team Member Shift: 1st Shift - ( Hours may vary ) Location: Lapeer, MI ---------------------------------------- Position Overview Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc. is seeking dependable, hands-on individuals to join our team as Shipping and Receiving Team Members. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will support the movement of materials in and out of the facility, ensuring accurate shipments, proper inventory control, and on-time delivery to our customers. ---------------------------------------- Key Responsibilities * Perform shipping functions including picking, labeling, packing, and loading outbound materials * Ensure all shipping documentation (shippers, invoicing, ASN’s, and customs paperwork) is accurate and processed on time * Receive incoming materials by unloading, verifying packing slips, and delivering to designated areas * Maintain returnable container logs in accordance with customer requirements * Properly store hazardous materials (paints, solvents, chemicals, etc.) in designated areas * Coordinate transportation as requested by customers, Production Control, and Management * Communicate part shortages to Production Control and Management * Track inbound and outbound premium freight with proper authorization * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse using 6S practices * Validate ASN’s through QAD or other systems accurately and timely * Assist with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts * Support identification and communication of potential shortages impacting production * Assist with internal/external corrective actions and resolve shipping discrepancies * Ensure 100% on-time shipping performance * Perform additional duties as assigned ---------------------------------------- Position Requirements * Must be 18 years or older * Ability to safely operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained) * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions * Able to work independently and in a team environment * Comfortable using computers and hand scanners for inventory tracking * Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs. * Reliable transportation and strong attendance, especially during the 60-day probation period * Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE * Basic math and reading skills for interpreting shipping documents and labels * DOT 126 Training (preferred or willingness to obtain) ---------------------------------------- What We Offer * Weekly Pay * Full Time ( 40 Hours ) Positions  * Paid Holidays * Paid Time Off (after probation period) * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Guardian Supplemental Insurance Options * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) & Life Insurance * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Opportunities for Advancement ---------------------------------------- Why Join LPP?
