THE OPPORTUNITY

Orrcon Steel is looking for a Storeperson to join the day shift and a further Storeperson to join the afternoon shift in our Operations team based in Kewdale. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will be responsible for receiving and storing materials, assembling and loading orders, and dispatch duties, you will also:

  • safely load and unload trucks
  • operate forklifts and other machine processing equipment including learning to drive trucks (onsite only) and magnetic cranes
  • pick and pack from stock on-site to create specific orders
  • be responsible for the safety of yourself and your co-workers
  • ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through your service levels

As someone who enjoys working in a physically active role and as part of a team, you will bring:

  • forklift licence with proven experience in bulk products
  • gantry crane experience preferred but training can be provided
  • truck driver licence and experience in driving in a warehouse preferred
  • effective communication skills, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • ability to think on your feet providing safe and workable solutions
  • a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for other
