We help them to reduce risk, drive innovation, and improve their network to meet business objectives. We are the customer’s trusted advisor and expert, helping the customer understand their network, reduce risks, and take advantage of the technology. We work closely with Cisco Engineering to advocate for innovation for our customer and as a liaison, share what is coming with our customers to help them be the groundbreakers of technology. Your Impact As a Consulting Engineer, you will help drive the effort to transform our current and future network architecture for our customers. You will work directly with our customers and gain direct experience and exposure into their networks. You will collaborate on a variety of projects that have a real impact on the lives of Veterans and military service members. We will value your ideas and perspective on how to get things done. You will improve network infrastructures and help to deliver business solutions and technology solutions from data, security, mobility, and cloud. Minimum Qualifications: Secret level clearance. 8 years relevant experience in Cisco networking. 8 years relevant experience supporting the United States Government - Department of Defense. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent skills (Routing/Switching). For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $135,000.00 - $210,200.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $127,100.00 - $187,200.00 * For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
